Common sense on using home electric heaters
1. The heater’s power supply must use a qualified three-hole socket with a ground wire, otherwise there is a risk of electric leakage. Because the heater has a large power, it should not be used with high-power electrical appliances at the same time, otherwise it will easily damage the heater. In addition, the socket should not be located directly above the heater to prevent heat from rising and burning out the power supply. Always unplug the heater when the room is unoccupied.
2. The heater must not be covered with anything. The surface temperature of the heater is relatively high. Once covered by items, the heat cannot be dissipated in time, which may cause the heater to burn and ignite other items.
3. In terms of installation and placement, the heater should be placed in an inaccessible place, away from combustibles, and the back should be about 20 cm away from the wall. If an electric heater is placed in the bathroom for heating, special care must be taken to prevent the power supply from contacting water and causing adverse consequences. It is best to install the power socket outside the bathroom. The wires of the heater should be protected with insulating rubber, and the connection with the body should avoid contact with water.
4. Some people like to stay close to the radiator for warmth, or even put their hands and feet on the radiator, but doing so can easily cause burns. Some people blow heaters directly on themselves. Although it can temporarily keep you warm, it can also burn your skin over time. Therefore, when using the heater, do not get too close to the heater, especially do not let the heater's air outlet directly contact a certain part of the body for heating.
5. Dry winter skin will gradually lose surface oil and have poor moisturizing ability. If you use a heater indoors, the environment can become dry, leading to dehydrated, chapped, and itchy skin. Therefore, when using a heater at home, you should find ways to increase the indoor humidity, such as raising some hydroponic plants in the house, putting several pots of water, mopping the floor frequ
ently, using a humidifier, etc.
